Finally, a space where your pain makes sense — and someone who truly understands your journey.
Meet Devin Shepard, LPCC — guiding individuals and couples toward clarity, connection, and emotional resilience through professional online therapy.
You’re struggling because there’s real pain underneath—and that pain makes sense. It might be the ache of feeling unseen or emotionally alone, the weight of always holding everything together, or the quiet fear of being too much or not enough. Often, these struggles are rooted in trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, grief, or loss. Through trauma-informed therapy, we’ll uncover the emotions beneath the surface—healing pain, easing anxiety, and helping you reconnect with yourself and others.
You don’t need to be “fixed,”
you deserve to be understood.
My Background
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked in organizational development, leadership coaching, and business consulting, gaining deep expertise across a wide range of industries. From large corporations and nonprofit organizations to small businesses and family-run enterprises, I’ve helped individuals and teams create clarity, structure, and momentum. My passion lies in turning chaos into clarity—guiding professionals and organizations to sharpen their skills, strengthen team dynamics, and achieve meaningful, measurable goals. Throughout my career, I’ve found it deeply rewarding to support transformational growth, whether I’m helping a team align more effectively or coaching a leader to step into their full potential. Today, as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC®), I bring together decades of real-world business experience and clinical training to empower people with the tools, strategies, and insight they need to unlock their strengths, maximize their impact, and create lasting success.
My educational background integrates organizational expertise, communication, and clinical mental health, providing a well-rounded foundation for the work I do. I hold an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Corporate Education, equipping me with advanced skills in adult learning, leadership development, and organizational training. I also earned an M.A. in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, which deepened my understanding of human behavior, emotional well-being, and evidence-based therapeutic practice. My earlier academic work includes a B.A. in Speech Communication, strengthening my skills in interpersonal dynamics and effective communication, along with an A.A. in Liberal Arts/Business, which grounded my knowledge of business operations and organizational systems.
In addition to formal education, I have completed clinical and professional training to support individuals with a wide range of needs. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) Level 1, Brainspotting Levels 1, 2, & 3 with ongoing consultation, EMDR Level 1, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) with consultation. I am also trained in The Grief Recovery Method® and am a Certified Core Strengths® Facilitator, allowing me to integrate personality science and relationship intelligence into both therapeutic and professional development work. This combined training enables me to blend clinical insight, practical tools, and a deep understanding of human and organizational systems to support clients in powerful, holistic ways.
What it’s like to work with me…
Tired of sitting in your feelings forever? Sick of spending countless hours with a counselor just processing things — only to feel like nothing’s really changing?
You're not alone — and therapy doesn't have to feel like an endless loop.
I’m a compassionate, results-oriented counselor who believes in balancing emotional depth with real-life progress. I hold space for your story with gentleness and empathy, while also helping you break things down into clear, doable steps. My approach helps you move forward, not stay stuck.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, or just feeling overwhelmed with life, our work together will focus on insight and action. You’ll leave sessions feeling supported — and with practical tools to create real change.
Let’s stop the spiral. Let’s start building forward.
Who I Am Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not in the therapy room, I recharge by teaching, training, and sharing skills with others—whether through formal workshops, coaching, or mentoring. I also enjoy hiking with my dogs, NCAA football and softball, playing piano, listening to music, cooking, and spending time near water, where I feel most grounded. Curiosity, growth, and meaningful connection guide both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
