A space where your experiences are seen, your pain is honored, and healing can begin.
Meet Gabby Stepp, LPCC — guiding individuals and couples toward deeper connection, clarity, and lasting emotional resilience through compassionate online counseling.
You’re not Broken - You’re Becoming
At the heart of my counseling work is a deep respect for each person’s unique story, strengths, and capacity for growth. I believe that healing begins in a safe, supportive relationship—one where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore your experiences without fear of judgment.
My practice is grounded in a person-centered philosophy, meaning I view you as the expert in your own life. I walk alongside you with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, creating space for real, meaningful change to unfold at your own pace.
How I work…
My therapeutic approach integrates several evidence-informed modalities, including:
Gestalt Therapy – Focusing on present-moment awareness, personal responsibility, and the connection between thoughts, feelings, and bodily experience. I help you become more aware of how you relate to yourself and others, so you can make more intentional choices.
Attachment-Based Work – Exploring how early relational patterns shape current emotions, relationships, and sense of self. By understanding and healing attachment wounds, I support the development of healthier connections and greater emotional security.
Trauma-Informed Care – Recognizing the impact of trauma on the nervous system, behavior, and relationships. I prioritize safety, collaboration, and choice, creating a space where trust can be built and healing can occur without re-traumatization.
Foundational Skills – Integrating a range of evidence-based approaches, I help you build practical tools, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful change in your daily life. These foundational skills draw from CBT, DBT, mindfulness practices, and strength-based perspectives, offering a flexible and personalized pathway toward emotional resilience and growth.
I see therapy not as a one-size-fits-all process, but as a collaborative journey tailored to your needs, goals, and lived experience. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, identity concerns, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to support you in becoming more connected, grounded, and whole.
Clients usually say…
Clients often tell me that therapy with me feels different — more grounded, more effective, and more forward-moving. They appreciate my ability to hold space with deep compassion while also providing structure, clarity, and accountability. Many say they’ve made more progress in a few sessions than in years of traditional talk therapy. I’m known for helping clients break things down into manageable, actionable steps, so they don’t feel stuck, overwhelmed, or lost in endless processing. My approach blends emotional depth with practical strategies, giving you both the insight and the tools to create real, lasting change. If you’re looking for a results-oriented, compassionate therapist who helps you move forward — not just talk in circles — you’re in the right place.
My Background
For more than 15 years, Gabby has built a career grounded in connection, resilience, and a deep respect for people’s stories. Her path began in customer service—and even on a dairy—experiences that strengthened her commitment to hard work, empathy, and meeting people exactly where they are. She later moved into clinical work, supporting individuals in both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment as they navigated recovery, trauma, and mental health challenges. Today in private practice, she brings that same grounded, compassionate presence to help clients explore their stories with honesty, curiosity, and care.
Gabby works through a lens that honors personal narrative and meaning-making, helping clients understand how their experiences have shaped them and how to create new, empowered patterns moving forward. Her approach blends trauma-informed therapy, attachment-based care, and person-centered counseling to support clients in building emotional clarity, self-trust, and resilience.
Her clinical training includes ASAM Criteria & Documentation, Brainspotting (Level 1), The Grief Recovery Method®, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She provides online therapy in Colorado with a focus on trauma-informed counseling, substance use recovery, and life transitions.
Gabby is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC®).
I’m a therapist—but I’m also a lifelong learner, seeker, and nature lover who believes deeply in the healing power of connection: with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me in a cozy coffee shop exploring new ideas, diving into research, or working on creative projects that stretch my perspective. As an Enneagram 7, I’m energized by novelty and possibility, always following my curiosity while continuously learning how to ground myself amid that movement.
Nature is where I return to center. Whether I’m hiking with my dogs or sitting quietly outdoors, time in nature brings me clarity, presence, and balance. Growth is a core value for me, and I try to live in a way that honors meaning, connection, and the freedom to experience life fully.
I bring that same spirit of curiosity, openness, and respect into my work. My hope is to create a warm, grounding space where you can explore your inner world at your own pace—with support, compassion, and genuine collaboration.
Whether you’re navigating transition, healing from past experiences, or reconnecting with yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.
